Messmates was a play performed December 18, 1896 in Sargent Hall which was on the third floor above the W.G. Sargent store. In his journal Wyer G. Sargent writes, “Quite a large number met at ‘Sargent Hall’ to witness a dramatic play called the Messmates.”
